Heart Pattern Nails

Hello! I've gone for a simple design on my nails this week - a love heart pattern!

With Valentine's Day also coming up next weekend I thought it was the perfect time to do this design!

Although it's a simple and easy design to paint it's still quite tricky to get the hearts roughly the same size and shape so they look quite uniform!

I used Barry M's 'Red Wine' for the base coat! I love this deep red shade and I think it's the perfect base red for this pattern! The hearts are painted in acrylic paint!

I also seem to have a problem with all red nail polishes as when I come to put the topcoat on they smudge my design and I had to redo the white hearts after the first topcoat! Next time I think I'll put a clear varnish on before doing the design in acrylic paint!

So although it was an easy design it still took quite a while to get right! I think it was worth it though!
