Snow White Nails
Hello! This week my nails are inspired by the classic fairytale, Snow White!
Snow White was a favourite of mine in my childhood, it's a brilliant story of good overcoming evil! Its popularity is helped of course by the Disney film version of the story which is the main source of inspiration I found for the images on my nails!
The symbols I chose to paint on my nails were - the title, the poisoned apple with a bite taken out of it, the magic mirror, her dress from the Disney version and the red bow! I also added a little bird and a crown to my thumb nail as it looked a little plain! It took several attempts to paint the little bird but I'm really glad I persevered with it!
I created the mirror on my middle finger by using a tiny piece of tin foil! I didn't have any silver paint or nail polish and I really love the effect the tin foil has! I secured it on with a bit of clear polish on the top on the dried white base! I then waited for it to dry before using black acrylic paint to do the outline!
I wanted to keep the colour scheme simple and keep it to the main colours of blue, red and yellow! I think it's worked really well and they're instantly recognisable as being Snow White nails! I think having the white background (Barry M's Matt White) really brings all the nails together as a whole and works with each individual design on each nail!
I'm really happy with how these nails turned out, and they didn't take too long to paint!
