The One We Fell In Love With Book Cover Nails

Hello! This week my nails are inspired by the cover of the wonderful book, The One We Fell in Love With by Paige Toon!

I'm huge fan of Paige's books and last year did nail art based on the cover of The Sun in Her Eyes!

I finished reading this book last night and it's so good! It's full of unexpected twists and the ending left me feeling really happy and uplifted! I also love authors that include little cameos of past characters in new books so you can keep with their lives, and Paige is a real expert at this!

For the design I used a base coat of Barry M's 'Make Me Teal' which I thought was a perfect match for the blue of the cover!

The whole design is hand painted with acrylic paint! For the title on the thumb I used a dotting tool and a gold polish  over the top of the acrylic paint to give it an extra sparkle just like on the cover and you just can't get the same effect from acrylic paint! This makes it look a little messy but I'm pleased with how it glitters!

I struggled with the silhouette of the triplets but it vaguely looks like the cover so I'm happy enough with it!
